For the Motorist Rennet the age limit is 15 years if you go alone or with friends, but if a guardian/responsible adult participates in the race with children/youth, there is no age limit. It is also allowed to use a sled – making it a fun experience for the little ones!

For Professional Clean

The age limit is 16 years.

For Janteburn Apreski: 18 years and up.

For the Afterburn Afterparty: 18 years and over.

A ski license or one-time license is NOT included in your Janteloppet ticket.

It is the participant's (or guardian's) own responsibility to have a valid ski license. Clubs must check that all participants from their club have a valid license when registering for the race.

Everyone between the ages of 13 and 69 (for ages 70–79 it is voluntary) who is a member of the Norwegian National Insurance Scheme must have a valid ski license. The ski license includes separate sports insurance.

Foreign participants who are not members of the Norwegian National Insurance Scheme must sign the Athletes Declaration when collecting their start number.

Children up to 12 years of age: All children are automatically insured through children's sports insurance until the day they turn 13.

Yearly license:

If you already have a full-year license, you do not need to purchase a one-time license to participate in Janteloppet.

• One-time license 13–25 years: NOK 100

• One-time license 26–69 years: NOK 250

Driving

There is ample parking in the parking facility at Mosetertoppen Ski Stadium and around Mosetertoppen Ski Stadium or at Gondoltoppen at Hafjell, which is about 5-10 minutes' walk from Mosetertoppen Ski Stadium.

Train

The nearest train station is 🚊 Lillehammer station (📍Google maps link )

The train between Oslo and Lillehammer offers 12–18 departures daily, and 2–6 departures daily northward in Gudbrandsdalen – towards Åndalsnes and Trondheim.

To get to Mosetertoppen Ski Stadium and Hafjell Gondoltoppen when arriving in Lillehammer by train, we recommend using the gondola service that takes you from Lillehammer station directly to the event area.
