Janteloppet 2024 was not only a day filled with exhilarating ski races and festive fun but also a remarkable triumph for Team Elon Innlandet. The team celebrated extraordinary victories in both the men’s and women’s races.
In the men’s category, Bjarte Bjertnæs of Jevnaker Idrettsforening Ski secured a first-place finish with an impressive time of 00:54:22.
The women’s race brought even more glory to Team Elon Innlandet, achieving an all-team podium. Marte Mikkelsplass of Bromma IL led the pack, finishing at an outstanding 00:59:44. Close on her heels was Tiril Knudsen of Konnerud IL, who came in second, one minute eight seconds behind Mikkelsplass. Rounding out the trio, Hedda Bakkemo of Gjøvik Skiklubb clinched third place, with a time difference of one minute ten seconds from the leader.
This year’s successes at Janteloppet have set the stage for an even more competitive and thrilling race in 2025. Teams are encouraged to start preparing for what promises to be a showcase of top-tier skiing talent and sportsmanship. All interested teams can look forward to not only participating in the races but also potentially being part of the iconic Janteburn ceremony.
